God’s Holy Acre has been created at St. James Anglican church for the growing number of people choosing cremation for themselves or for their loved ones. This quiet memorial garden can also be used to commemorate the lives of departed family and friends whose remains are buried elsewhere. This tranquil site on St. James’ hill provides a sanctuary where family and friends can reflect in peace and serenity when honouring the memory of their loved ones.
God’s Holy Acre is open to all who wish to use it. Arrangements can be made through the church for the service of committal; and ashes will be deposited directly into the earth in the garden amongst the rose bushes. The name and life dates of the loved one will be engraved on the four granite walls that surround the garden.
