The Coventry Litany of Reconciliation was written by Canon Joseph Poole in 1958 and is prayed regularly by Community of the Cross of Nails (CCN) members worldwide. Our own St. Paul's Cathedral is in the process of becoming a member of the CCN and also offers the Litany on Wednesdays. On November 14th, 1940, the ancient Cathedral Church of St. Michael (commonly known as Coventry Cathedral) and the centre of the medieval city were destroyed in an air raid, along with the loss of over 500 lives. Following the bombing, Coventry Cathedral made the commitment to become an international centre for reconciliation and today has over 200 partners around the globe. Please join Reverend Stephanie Donaldson every week on Wednesday's at 12:30pm on our website as she offers the Coventry Litany of Reconciliation. The world has never been in greater need of reconciliation and forgiveness than it is now.
